Panasonic St-gt-vt 3d Plasmas - How Much Did You Pay?

Recommended Posts

I can't see that this specific thread has been started anywhere else.

If you buy a 2011 3D Panasonic Plasma ST, GT or VT model and are willing to share, please post the model number, price, store, town/suburb and state.

Also say whether you have a receipt available to scan and post in the "Miscellaneous > Attachments" section so you don't get unwanted requests.

Thanks to anybody able to post their good deals. :D

Well done. Did you buy it online or did they match their web special in store?

I haven't bought it yet and shouldn't make any difference as you could select delivery or pick up from any store. I thought the price is very reasonable without any haggling, and I am likely to wait until Xmas time to purchase.

Also eyeing Onkyo TX-NR809 from Hong Kong for about $900, and Oppo BDP-93 for about $500.

You can get the 65" VT30 for under $4K

Are you sure that's not the ST30 or VT20? Because the VT30a is still not officially released at this stage?

Differences between ST, GT and VT

VT

- pro ISF

- includes 1 x 3D glasses

- subwoofer

- 7kg heavier (I presume because of the 1 sheet glass design)

- WiFi adapter included

GT

- ISF claibration

- no 3D glasses

- only 2 speakers

- Wifi adapter included

ST

- No THX but 'True Cinema' picture setting

- No 3D glasses

- WiFi ready (no adapter included)

With such little difference between the models (except maybe screen filters - TBC) I hope their pricing won't be similar to last years VT20!

Got a 55GT30A as a warranty replacement for a 50VT20A recently from JB.

On Whirlpool people are reporting $1500-1600 as the norm for 55GT30A.

I managed to get the 50vt30 for 1388 which is Harvey Norman's special price. However he threw in 2 pairs of 3d glasses as I was originally going to buy the gt which didn't include any. I guess he thought he would make it back in hdmi cables, power boards and extended warranties they were trying so hard to push, no thanks.
