Do you want to just watch, or record as well?

Foxtel doesn't interest you?

I don't know that I would record but it might be a good option. Not doing Foxtel again - too many ads and too expensive

Jackngo,

Why don't you jack off and go somewhere else - the world is full of enough spam and rubbish without you dumping here.

A cheap option would be a Topfield HD STB (TBF200HD) for $50 from JBs or GG etc. I got one just for this purpose for my Epson 9200 and it works OK for FTA and even can do recoding to an external USB drive if required. Pity Sony stop making the PlayTV tuner for PS4 as one of these with a PS3 is also an option.

You could try one of these:

The Panasonic Blu-ray PVR is great value for money if you get it at the right price, good EPG, records and I think the 750GL can burn to Blu-ray.

Thanks MD - I'll check them out!

Depending on your viewing habits bellyup a true hd pvr can change how you watch tv ; its hard to miss a program with 3 or more tuners :) My toppy 2400 and wiz p2 have given good service for ages
