Its switched to digital. Also all the metro community stations have received government funding to help them switch to digital. Id imagine they stopped their analog simulcast to save on costs.

I saw an Telefunken HD Set top box in Kmart last week for $29.

Remember also that by the end of next year all the other stations will switch off analog.

If you are a full time pensioner the Household Assistance Scheme will install an HD MPEG-4 capable set top box and if required an antenna for reliable reception from the middle of next year.

To extend this, all state capital city community analog transmitters have been switched off except Adelaide. In Adelaide analog is on channel 31 and digital on RF channel 30 and a logical channel number of 44.

We care about adelaide in a Melbourne viewers forum... not!!!! Alan you're the one constantly telling people to post in the appropriate section... go post it in the adelaide section because we care not for it here.

beeblebrox,

The whole statement indicates that Melbourne's MGV31 was switched off like the other community telecasters in Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth have also had their analog transmitters switched off. So Melbourne is not alone! I have to be complete to indicate Adelaide has not followed suit or someone will complain.

The other reason why channel 31 was switched off is to stop interference from and to AMV (Prime) channel 31 on Mt Alexander covering Central Victoria including Bendigo.

And if someone complained, you'd just tell them to post in the relevant forum.

So on that basis, with your logic, you should post totally irrelevant information in different forums... in case someone complains?... Is that why you do that all the time. in case 'someone' complains?

It's usually you Alan who complains when someone doesn't post where 'you' think they should.

What Adelaide channels are doing has nothing whatsoever to do with Melbourne channels..... just because Adelaide community TV is still on analogue does nothing to help the OP in Melbourne.
