I have a strong signal (full bar) on all stations but I can see only channel 70 HD (in SD) with breaks. All the other HD channels I can hear but I cannot see. I am living on the Gold Coast.
Any Ideas?

You have bought a SD box, delete the HD LCNs, 12, 20, 30, 70, 90, and the problem is solved.

sorry, right answer,
you can see it because you havn't deleltd it,
its a hD program, the box is sd,
I see your new post in GC forum, same answer.
its not a HD box.
Do you have a HD display?
if no, then it doesn't matter,
if yes, buy a HD box.

fafot, would I be correct to assume that you are actually asking why you can see the channel 7 HD picture although broken up?
If that is the case, I've been lead to believe it is breaking up because of a higher bitrate on the HD channel and the sd stb's processor is not designed to deal with a much greater throughput of data. I can also get HD10, 9 and 7 on my teac stb, although withmuch breakyup of sound and picture every few seconds.
As the always friendly Gclark8 mentioned, just go into the settings and delete those HD channels.
Cheers,

Yes, I presume that the SD box cannot cope with the HD bit rate.
I wanted to see the HD stations in SD because some of them tranmitting real Dolby Digital that I can hear without any breakups.
No, I don't have HD display yet. Still waiting until the current problems with Plasma will be solved or LCD will get much bigger (50"+).
Tx for answers.

Reason: 7's 'HD' isn't really HD, it is ED.
Seven 'HD' is the same resolution as SD (720x576) however with a higher bitrate and is progressively scanned (like your computer monitor) rather than interlaced (eg conventional 4:3 TVs). The other HDs can't be seen because they are at much higher resolutions eg, 1440x1088 or 1920x1088.

Hey,
I am located in Sydney, and I'm located near the Artarmon Transmitter. I can see HD feed, but as mentioned it stops every 3 sec, with digital artifacts but the sound stays the same, except some slight clicking. Mabey the STB is coded so that it cant recieve the "high bandwith" feed, and not nessasirly that it cant handle it! Mabey there is a DIP switch in the B420 somewhere, what over writes the no-HD barrier? Honestly, can the CPU and RAM in a STB take the feed of the HD stream, as in pure technical procesing power?
