I have a Yamaha Receiver, and it is very deep in my storage units.

Yes, agree. Most of the conventional high-end gear is far too big and bulky -- far too deep.

You could try class D stuff - like some of the Rotel amplifiers. Some of them are very powerful, yet amazingly compact.

Definitely the way of the future.
