Hi all,

I've moved to Stirling (should be coming via Black Mountain?) and have a quad-shield flylead hooked up to a DigitalNow TinyTwin USB tuner and a wall socket (relatively new to this house, not too sure of the condition of the antenna/cabling)... I can receive all channels fine except for anything related to WIN, that is the regular channel, the HD one, and Go! all do not work. The channels were detected in the scan, but I get nada when I change to them. Any ideas?

Grab a copy of the free edition of tsreader, launch it, select the DVB-t BDA driver module, enter the frequency you expect to see WIN on (bandwidth 7, spectral inversion no) and see if there are a lot of CRC errors or packet discontinuities in the statistics section.

Hi DrP,

Ok I've tuned it to 219.5 and I'm getting a glitchy thumbnail, but loads of errors... please see screengrab here:

Hmm it's just WIN, all others are OK. By the way, the signal quality reading seems to jump around a fair bit.

The error rate (TEI) shows its a reception issue. You might have a problem with your antenna and cabling. Your antenna might just be ill located. Faulty fly leads from the wall socket to your receiver can also cause problems like this. If you have another lead try it.

Do you have any other digital receivers ie, a STB or a TV, and if so do they have problems with WIN's digital service? If they do you may well find it beneficial to get a reputable antenna installer in to give your installation an inspection etc.

Check with your neighbours to see if they are having problems with WIN digital. Since your device is portable (USB) are you able to try it at another location just to eliminate an issue with the receiver itself?
