hi all
could someone tell me whether there is any HD FTA transmitted program that's in Dolby Digital 5.1?
I'm sure a few months ago the ABC HD's programs in HD were in 5.1, but tried recently and they seemed to just be in DD 2.0
Same with movies on Prime and Win.
I just want to make sure nothing has gone wrong with my own equipment/settings
thanks

I have the same question - is there any 5.1 programming on FTA in Canberra?
I hooked up my AV receiver to the digital tv out from the hd tuner built into the tv, and i'm not sure if it down mixes everything to 2 channel stereo ( I heard some in-built tuners do it, as the TV only has 2 speakers), or basically there's no 5.1 programming.
I checked desperate housewives, csi and the mentallist, and they were all in DD2.0

if there are any, they'll be on WIN HD and perhaps ABC HD
PRIME HD and ONE HD are only capable of DD 2.0 and SBS HD uses MPEG Audio (despite laws requiring them to do DD)
