Hey all,

Pretty soon I'll be going into a rental share house in Stirling (which transmitter applies there?) with no wall socket in my room. After years of crystal clear DVB-T, I loathe going back to indoor antennas... although I have heard some good things about the Jaycar LT3134. What are my best options for getting good quality DVB-T on my PC (using a DigitalNow TinyTwin)? Should I really try one of these "beefed up" indoor antennas, or can I somehow get a socket or even my own antenna installed while keeping the landlords happy?

Cheers,

As for whether you can get something a bit more solid than rabbit ears installed, I suggest you put on your sweetest and most diplomatic tone and 'just ask'. You might even find your landlord is even willing to fund or subsidise the job; it's all tax deductible for them. Worst case, as long as you can convince them it'll be a pro job, they 'should' let you go ahead. As a last resort, if the job is professional and subtle, I doubt they'd even notice you had it done during an inspection.

cheers!
