Just Received my new Ultra spec cat, 1.3b (10.2gbps) CLINK High end HDMI Cable from Cinema Link.. http://clink.com.au/hdmi/hdmi_cables.htm
and thought others may be interested..

This new Series of highend HDMI Cable just oozes quality and good looks at an unheard of bargin price ..

I must say that the build quality is A1 with performance to match, looks to be 24g wire, also Features slimline shell design for ease of fitting..

So if your like me and fined issues running multi HDMI cables with larger shell connectors Due to HDMI inputs that are'nt spaced far anough apart ohmy.gif
like some Displays or HDMI Switches IE: DVDO VP50pro running all 4 HDMI inputs, this Cable solves this problem without sacrificing quality..

Cheers...

I asked Gregory of Cinema link if he could bring me up to speed about TTL the Manfacture of the new series of HDMI cables,
I found it very interesting:

Here is what he said:

TTL manufactures cables for other people mostly.
A couple of the very big names in electronics, the sort of companies who make everything from game consoles to handycams.
Not allowed to mention names.
They have research and head offices in California, US and Taiwan and their manufacturing is in China.

They are one of 2 factories worldwide who have so far made the move to machine made HDMI cables.
HDMI signal is so fussy that when soldering 19pins into that small head lining up the cable to pin more precisely makes a difference.
The finished length of each individual strand also has an impact.

The end result is that terminated correctly the cable can achieve a high speed signal up to 7.5m. Most are only up to 3m, and a small handful are up to 5m.

Although a number of companies claim to have high speed (1.3cat2) specced cables at 10m this is is actually not possible at the moment without some type of electronics added to the cable. The Kordz Master series is an example of this and the result is a very large head.

Other highlights for TTL are that they have all lengths of their cables tested by an official ATC (Authorised Test Centre). A number of companies get one tested, normally a 2m, and then stamp all their cables as authorised.

Other highlights about the cable itself, it can handle up to 1440p, good future proofing as it is 2 steps above current popular format. There is no way manufacturers will be stopping at 1080p. The shell of the connector is a patented design "RF-Blok" which cuts out further levels of EMI vs other designs.

In testing we have found with the lengths of 5m and up, on screens over 42" that there is an immediate change in the amount of brightness on the screen. Further viewing shows a sharper image with less artefacts. On a 42" screen at 720p with a 2m cable we found that we could sometimes see an improvement, but literally had to pick a high quality scene from good source material and watch it a few times before it was apparent.

Our general advice is this, if your running 42" display or less, get the flat cable, it's still excellent quality and will suit just fine. If your running over 5m and/or over 42" screen get the high end cable. Note that 5m doesn't just mean 5m direct, it means 5m total. So if your running 2m into an amp and then 3m into a display, consider the high end cable.

Having said all of that of course there is no point spending a couple of hundred on cables for a $50 DVD player and a $200 amp with names that no one has ever heard of that someone was selling off eBay.

I will try and add some pics of the new Clink HDMI cable,

I followed cinema mad's recommendation and purcahsed a couple of the clink high-end HDMI cables cinema link HDMI cables and I have not been disappointed.

After owning a number of apparently high-end cables over the years (monster cable being among them), these cables are as good if not better than anything I have owned before. The build quality looks sensational when you first see them, and the results once they are connected are just as good. If you factor in the price when compared to other apparently high-end cables, these cables are an absolute best buy in my opinion.

Definitely worth checking out.

I have bought quite a few cables from these guys, no HDMI yet, and would consider myself an avid fan.
Their service is as good as people say in many places over this forum.
So would have to say 'Wheelz' and 'Jeffie' I think your being a little bias.
You both have lots of entries in Foxtails "advertisement" and haven't commented there???
Jeffie
Well i havent gone into the foxtail threads (wow you must have looked pretty hard it was a while ago) and spurted out what looks like something straight from their advertising spiels. Copying and pasting that 'email' was pretty lame.

'cinema mad' and 'theatre fan'? I mean come on!

I actually have Kordz, ezyhd and dodgy ebay hdmi cables so I dont know why you would think i am biased against CinemaLink? Im sure cinemalink has good quality gear, but there are better ways of trying to show people.
wheelz
Different,I have cables from both foxy and cinema link no bias here both serve there purpose.
