Curious to know if ACT (or interstate) viewers have noticed the same problem as myself, watching SBS on DTV.
Sometimes the sound is a little distorted - but the picture is fine. It doesn't happen all the time, either - seems like it mostly occurs during movies. I believe my reception is OK, full strength and quality. The problem sounds like digital audio distortion - of the kind experienced when something is run 1dB too high. I have not experienced it with the other channels, and am wondering if I'm alone in noticing it.
My receiver is the inbuilt tuner in my Panasonic 800A, and is noticable on both the inbuilt speakers, and the optical out. I haven't gotten around to firing up a different STB when the problem occurs .. in case the problem is the Pana.

I had this problem last night on SBS HD. SBS One and SBS Two were fine.

Yep my recording of Top Gear Aus on the HD channel was bad too, I ended up switching the sound down & turning the subtitles on. That new logo is way too bright as well.
Typical crap branding by Aus TV networks!

I don't know about SBS 1 or HD, but through TransACT I have been having problems with SBS Two every minute or so picture and sound freezing for 1 or two seconds. Very frustrating.

I have a Panasonic TX-37LZD800A LCD and consistently have problems with the audio only on SBS HD in Sydney. Characteristically the issue (distorted warbling, something like the audio being played underwater) occurs when the screen in predominantly one colour with a little text. Consequently it always occurs during movie credits. The problem in not evident with identical content on SBS One SD, nor on any other HD channel. I have contacted SBS technical services. They were helpful but can't explain it.

I have a problem with the audio from SBS Jerilderie ch60, my Philips (9703) has no audio, the Humax Smart has intermitent
/ stuttering audio, and Tiny USB works OK. I have separate antennas for MIA & Jeriderie and have not had any problems with SBS ch33 from Mt Bingar.
I have called SBS & Philips. They were sympathetic but had no answers.
