Hi

To confirm... SC10 are screwing over all the people who live in THE NATION'S CAPITAL CITY who want to watch the Indian Premier League Cricket becasue they wont give us One HD?

It's not on Foxtel either because of TEN's exclusive rights to it, but 1/2 the country cant watch it because SC10 suck!!

Does anyone know where we can complain to TEN about this absolute crock of crap? mad.gif

Or please correct me if there is some way I can watch the IPL in Canberra?

In Canberra TEN is provided by Southern Cross 10 (SC10). They are in the phone book and you can call them. I have done that on several occasions, and they are always polite and full of promise, but not much happens.

This whole thread discusses regional HD ONE and there does appear to be some hope that Canberra will get ONE HD within the next few months.

I have also now started to see a 'news ticker' at the bottom of the TEN HD 'demonstration channel' stating that ONE HD will be here in the coming months. Don't know why it would take months, but hopefully it will be quick.

If you read the TEN forums, the company who owns Southern Cross have told the ASX, that ONEHD will starting broadcasting to regional viewers sometime between 1/7/09 and 31/12/09.

So as rumors are suggesting, its a good bet that it will be in the later part of the year, before we see it in Canberra.

SC10 and Macquarie Bank clearly don't think there is money to be made, hence the ridiculous delays in providing the service.

Digital TV was announced many years ago, Macquarie/SC clearly sat on their thumbs with no interest in upgrading their equipment until now.

I rang Soithern Cross 10 this afternoon. I asked when One HD would be available in Canberra.

The woman who answered the phone could not give me a date, not even an indicative date.

SCTEN are having a launch function next Tuesday, the 16th of June.. I believe it'll be a couple of week after that.
