For anyone who knows Clare (In South Australia) its in a valley & as such majority of homes have big towers in their backyards topped my Tv Aerials & the usual gamut of booster boxes.
TV Reception in the area is a bit crap because of its topography but at least on analogue you can get most channels at about 80% quality with Channel 9 very dodgy (as usual in most areas of SA). Anyways I loaned my HD DST to my folks for them to try at their place.
They get ABC, SBS, Channel 7 (relayed from Port Pirie) & Channel 10 (also relayed from Port Pirie) and the usual radio stations but that is all. no channel 9 at all.
Compared to on standard Analogue they get: abc, SBS, 7, 9 (bit its a bit dodgy at times), 10 as well as 7 (relayed from Port Pirie) and 10 (relayed from Port Pirie) (so in essence they get 7 and 10 twice).
Anyone got any experience in this area ? Is there any way I can find out if the 2 digital stations being relayed from port Pirie are part of the Digital TV coverage plan ?
Could the boosters they use in the area be messing up the HD STB ?
