Srt 5022 freezes and needs a reset.This is happening all to often.Does new firmware(Strong website) fix this and if so how do i go about doing the upgrade myself.

It wouldn't be the first Strong STB to suffer from crook capacitors in the power supply leading to unreliable operation - firmware may not be your solution.

I'm having a similar problem with my SRT 5022....it shuts down (black screen) spasmodically.
A reboot starts it up again, but it repeats the shutdown after a while. I'm wondering if a full reset to factory default...or...firmware upgrade would fix. Any clues guys??

Further to this...the black screen is actually the unit automattically changing to chanel 15 (no signal). Cannot change it off 15 except by a reboot. Weird or what??!!
