But the heading actually says "Toshiba HD DVD Player" which is a bit dodgy to me.

Which is sort of is - its a dvd player that outputs a HD signal.
Its just not a "HD DVD" (trademark) played.


Not sure what the average person would make of it - most probably dont even know about HD DVD, they may assume its a blu-ray player!

It took me 5 minutes to explain to my friend that his panasonic HTIB does not play HD DVDs even though it says 'HD DVD PLAYER' clearly on the front!
