Yep it sucks alright! OneHD has the race (live I believe)) but here in Canberra we don't get OneHD so we get the Malaysian F1 delayed on SC10 till 23:10 @ night and NO qualifying at all that I can see.
SC10 network seems to think the biggest loser/so you think you can dance will get a better audience.
& Why don't we get OneHD being the capital of Australia? Who knows!

We will be getting OneHD by mid year apparently.

The F1 can be streamed over the internet from the following page: http://www.justin.tv/dragons_bar

I am at work and the video never loads but I think that has more to do with our internet proxy so give it a go.

mid year that will be nice smile.gif

the video channel loads here, I'll be giving that a go come race day.

On OneHD/SD it is live at 7pm on Sunday night.

However no Friday practice and qualifying in not live on Saturday (On at 11pm I think).

I thought One would have at least had live qualifying instead of re-runs of bull riding and surfing from 2 years ago (and some more IPL 'highlights' and year old netball - i could go on for a while...)

Yes the Melbourne race was live, we are now talking about Sepang, Malaysia. & this is the Canberra forum, OneHD does not exist yet in Canberra

Mark
darockk
gotcha now, didnt realise which race anyone was referring to as it just says 'f1 coverage'

yup i know we dont get one hd in canberra and we dont get the race live.

nothing new, exact same situation as late last season where we dont get 10HD, therefore didnt get the race live like city viewers

fingers crossed this 'coming soon' business is like next few weeks

Just forget One HD even existed and think of the coverage as identical to 2 years ago

I can't I know its out there & offering F1 live to other capital cities (except Canberra, Darwin & Hobart)
AH well at least justintv gave us live qualifying with interesting commentators (I think Anthony Davidson was one of them)
Not sure I would want to watch the race on it though.

Cheers Mark

zzkazu
The BBC is streaming the whole GP starting with the practice yesterday. Once the proxy issue is solved its provides good quality video, also the commentary is very good.

Watching it live is great. only solution here in Canberra
rubaisport
Ive been using spvod for a while for watching sport online and its p2p player. just go to this address and you will have access to the F1, European football and the big American leagues.

The only catch is that most of the site is in Chinese and you need to install software for it to work
Aedryn
What's the quality like on that site?
darockk
so now because of ONEHD, they dont even show qualifying replays on the SD channel.

and i thought we were meant to be getting MORE from Freeview, not LESS.

And why would/should they? 10.30pm on Saturday night they replayed the Malaysian qualifying.

If you only have a SD capable set top box or TV view channel 12 which is an SD copy of ONE HD (and a waste of bandwidth)

r u aware you have posted in the canberra forum?

we dont get one HD or one SD here in the nations capital.

i was referring to southern cross 10 who actually showed F1 qualifying on sat night last year on the sd channel.

now with freeview and one HD, we get nothing.

hingo
Obviously he isn't. He is just focused on bashing One because he is one of those nerds who needs a late night high def crime show fix. One of the minority who don't welcome the new channel. I think One is great, but Southern Cross are beyond hopeless.
Shonky*
No I'm not aware that this was a Canberra sub forum. Sorry, I just read the forum by new posts without really see where the post was made.

And Hingo. Thanks for that. How did I bash "One"? I merely stated that doubling up One SD and One Hd showing the same show simultaneously was a waste of bandwidth. Get your facts straight.

I'm not "a nerd who needs a late night crime fix". In fact I can't even see how or why what I said could be interpreted as that. You are obviously sport biased - yeah why not - I'll just assume that like you did. Personally I think the HD channel could be better shared between sport and everything else, but there are other threads for that debate. Feel free to have a go at me there.
hingo
Maybe next time you should read the thread properly instead of just pushing your agenda. As you said, there are plenty of other threads for that tripe.
Shonky*
No agenda. Not tripe.
zzkazu
I'm in Canberra through a proxy I have full screen 50" viewing of F1... Transact helps of course!!
darockk

Basically 7 hour delay then, you have to love Ten.....
Mark Haynes
Yep pretty pissed off with SC10 but what can one do apart from trying to find a low res internet version?
we'll just have to have a little more patience....

try here, http://spvod.com/livee.jsp may need to click on english
its a p2p player so youll need to install software, but the more people we get using it i believe better the quality will be (more viewrs = more seeders)
zzkazu
BBC provides a normal and high quality feed.. Looks like foxtel qulaity on a 50 inch screen.
Matty_T
But is it available to people outside the UK? What's the web address?

I use identity cloaker, (https://www.identitycloaker.com) its a paid service but you can try it for a little amount. I went for this because other 'free' proxy's usually are very risky. I've had good communications with the author.. Also I can watch the practice sessions.
