Need to know if anyone here has used a SKy+ box on a cable network in Melbourne or anywhere really? I'm about to get Foxtel and get multiroom and it would be good to know if the two boxes I am bringing over (one standard box, one IQ box but obviously Sky branded and not Foxtel) would work.

Reason I ask was most houses were satellite fed in the UK, so to use Sky+ you had two feeds from the LNB on the dish – one for each channel you were recording or watching.

How does this work cable since there appears to be only one input – do you have two inputs or is all the info carried down in one?

I know people have had success using their Sky+ boxes here in Oz, but not sure if that was via satellite as well?

Thanks

Won't work.
A Foxtel IQ satellite box doesn't work on Foxtel cable either.
