Got this DigiCrystal HDT-9750P as an upgrade to my old 9070p and initial thoughts are very good biggrin.gif
For my review I've hooked the unit upto a BenQ E2200HD (Full HD 22" Monitor), the image is gorgeous however 22" is too small to enjoy in Full HD, i would recommend 37-42" for lounge viewing.

Switching it on , it ran some sort of 'install' and came up very quickly indeed. I proceded to the search for channels, and came up with around 46 total channels including Radio (4).

9/10 for Speed, this unit is Fast, a marked improvement on the 9070 model. It didnt lack in speed in any department, dual records in HD no problem at all.

The unit is in a nice matt black finish and does still have the same clunky buttons on the front as other cased models.

When OFF the time is displayed.

The menu system is sharp and crisp, and only once have i seen a ghosted window error, while displaying INFO for a movie.

The unit does NOT have PiP, which I really miss now it isnt there. After all, HDTV is for WIDE screen TVs and this being a Twin Full HD Tuner, you would expect it. I will also add that after speaking to some salemen in major stores has informed me that PiP has 'disappeared' as a option in new TVs for the moment....stay tuned on that one.

BUGS: Some anomalies more than bugs, or future upgrades perhaps....
Transparency for Menus (and all Menus are HUGE, so transparencies would be very nice.
Subtitles - when set to Transparent they are UN-READABLE, totally Bled out or Decayed. Color choice would also be a nice option.
Record Editing: It's impossible to Start-Edit from beginning of a Record. Likewise it's impossible to work backwards with an Edit from the end, the whole record will be selected.

The Remote: Ughh who do i shoot, when will a nice remote be created. Its awkward positioning of the 'Exit' button really lets it down, the Remote for the 9070 was so much better. angry.gif
