Anyone found a better alternative to a standard rca av 5.8ghz sender? Has anyone seen component in this style?

This is very nice, but as always has a heavy price tag.

What are your thoughts?

I'm wanting to fun foxtel HD in another room, at least 720p. I'm currently running a av sender 2.4ghz, but my wi-fi is breaking the transmission.

I haven't seen anything that does HD via component or HDMI using wireless like what that Belkin device does but I will say that my 5.8GHz AV sender is far superior to my old 2.4Ghz unit for both video & audio reproduction albeit SD composite video.

I only use it for a 50cm LCD TV in the kitchen but the 2.4GHz unit had significant interference problems and the audio had a lot of sibilance, the 5.8GHz rarely has any issues at all.

thaks for idea -- I'm looking at cabling but will look at wireless option now!

the bandwidth required so wireless transmit HD video signals is astounding.... compare the bandwidth of HMDI to your wireless 802.11N networking!!

Wireless HDMI honestly seems silly to me. If you need to transmit HDMI over a long distance, use a Cat5-UTP balun, such as this:

MUUUUCH cheaper.
Spend the rest of your money on a new Hifi or bigger screen.
