I'm wondering if I was to buy this Benq LCD screen, would I be able plug a set top box in and watch tv on it?
Yes, you'd need a STB with HDMI output (EG: A HD STB) assuming you'd be using the DVI connector from a computer.
The other alternative is to use a Digital TV USB or card-type tuner in the computer.

That being the case, you could use HDMI, DVI or VGA (d-sub) from a STB with those outputs. (and my preference would be in that order, HDMI being the best connection)

Oh okay awesome... Thanks
One more thing... What would you recommend for a good, well priced STB?
Cheers, Danny

Healing HHT892... has HDMI, Component, S-Video, Composite, analogue audio, coaxial & optical digital audio, so plenty of flexibility if you want to use it on another screen and/or audio system later.

netoros, Go to the Geographic Viewers’ Forum, which is near the bottom of the main forum’s home page. Select your region and read the pinned post “Get the Best Reception”. Please post any further correspondence in that strand for all in your region to see. I will see it anyway. You could also search your location in that strand for others in your area.
The answers depend on what transmitters you are trying to receive and what you are using now to receive the signal. So on the appropriate forum state your location and whether you are using a roof antenna, indoor antenna or from an antenna system in a block of apartments.
When you go to the appropriate transmitter list link opens a description of Logical Channel Numbers. Then there is a list of real channels for locations within the state.

There is quite a good sticky thread here on this topic.
