Hi. I have been transferred from Sydney to Grafton and notice on the TV guide up there and ther eis only Prime HD. NO NBN HD, No Ten HD. How bad is that? Are they coming or should I quit my job and not move?
Appreciate it if any one knows what's happening up that way.

Thanks

SC10 should begin to rebroadcast TEN HD's offerings sometime next year, I don't think NBN have any plans to rebroadcast 9 HD's offerings, possibly because there's only up to 15 hours a week of unique content.

I used to Live in Port Macquarie, so I'm well aware of what regional broadcasters are like when it comes to offering DTV.

It's rough isn't it. We pay the same taxes, have less services, pay more for everything, and get treated as 2nd class citizens.

Yes, some will argue we have a choice, but in effect, we all can't be city dwellers, and the bush and regional areas do their bit to support the rest of Australia as well.

Nah....I'd better give up this rant....I'll never win it.

Hi
A guy that used to post in the regional TV threads stated he could pick up the Mt. Nardi transmitter from near Grafton so that may be an option with the correct aerial,i'm not sure if all the stations are on full power yet as there was a "engineer" that posted saying that wouldn't happen until analogue was turned off.
SC10 analogue broadcasts up here are mono sound which is unbelievable in this day and age, apparently its all the old audio gear from Channel 0 Melbourne so the sooner its turned off the better.

won't make a difference whether the OP gets a signal from Mt. Nardi or Mt. Moombil, as it's the same situation with NBN and SC10 from both sites not transmitting the HD Multichanneling available in cities.

Thanks for all your replies to my question. I think at the end of the day they don't care about the bush but isn't it great that places like Hardley Normal, Good Guys, Retravison etc sell full HD TV's in the bush, pretty useless to get home unpack it and only receive SD. I bet the salesman on commission doesn't tell people that.

Just have to wait and be patient I guess.

Hi
I would get a full HD TV(or a HD STB) as there are many broadcasts up here(Mt. Nardi at least) in 1080i(NBN,Prime & SC 10) with 5.1(NBN & SC10) Dolby. Also SC10 HD does selected Movies,TV programmes and some sporting events although at the moment its random, eg no Nascar or AFL/NFL Gridiron at the moment.
