My orders from them have always been 6 days from order to me receiving them, this includes a weekend though as I usually order mid-end of the week. My last order with them was June 4 order -> June 5 at Fedex depot -> June 9 ready to deliver, though public holiday -> June 10 4pm delivered to me in Redcliffe, Q. So 5 day turn around for it to be here, I use priority shipping with fedex as they've always been reliable.

Both of my previous orders took 9 days with USPS International Priority. Standard shipping from Amazon normally takes 2 weeks for me, and is more expensive than DVDPacific.

Same here takes about 1 week so far always have been reliable.
Also once my order has several discs in it, it becomes cheaper and more reliable than Amazon.

4 to 5 days delivery to brisbane

The speed of their priority shipping, coupled with their habit of shipping titles once they get them in (almost always ages before release date) makes DVD Pacific a winner in my eyes

. Lately I've been ordering from amazon, only because they've had some good cheap deals, like blade runner and cloverfield ($16.95US - a steal!) - but normally I order the majority of my stuff from DVD Pacific.

Their biggest advantage is definitely the willingness to send new stuff out early. Amazon are so stubborn on sticking to the release date, it's not like sending something out a week or so early will make a difference, I'd still have to wait at least another week, using standard shipping, anyway.
For me it's DVD Pacific for new titles I want right away, and Amazon for the good sales/cheap deals they put on. The order I'm waiting on now worked out to be about $40 cheaper with Amazon due to their random price cuts on various discs.

Be careful with dvd pacific at the moment,my ordered was filled last thursday week, and i know they dont ship fridays, but this wednesday it was still not shipped and they had taken the money from my credit card(which they never do until the order is almost delivered)so i emailed them to see what was going on.
They replied saying they had less staff this new year and were finding it a struggle to fill orders and asked to give them afew more days, well now is friday again so it will not ship again this week, and i use them all the time because they ship titles early, these titles are now available at amazon and cheaper.
I thought this was a bit rough really, they could have had some notice on the site so you could decide for your self and taking your money straight away was in bad taste,if this is how they are going to operate from now on i may have to go back to amazon which by the way i had an order with from the sale and they shipped staight away,so maybe people need to e-mail dvd pacific before they order to see what the situation is.

Hi Peep
Just to say the same problem is occuring with me, my credit card was debited on the 8th Jan 2009 and up to today nothing has been despatched, very unusual for DVD Pacific. I have Emailed twice and made two phone calls, all we are getting now is just an answer phone. My Emails were replied to in just the same way as yours, asking me to hang on a few more days, but nothing is resolved. I would advise others to be very careful about ordering from this company at present. I must say I have used them for quite some time with excellent service prior to this.

My order has not shipped yet,so i dont have a deadline,my complaint was that they took the money from my account and left the order sitting there, something they never do.
From what people are saying the shipping is taking a long time too(about 4 weeks looking at the posts here)when they were quicker than amazon, most of the time i would get delivery in 7 days,i am hoping things will improve because i used them because they broke street dates and shipped quickly,no point if this keeps up,peep.

according to their terms you have to wait 25 business days for anything to happen.
seeing as your the third to report a shipment from that period not received yet i would think a batch of shipments has gone missing. ( or they have sent them via an incorrect method)
In 6 years ( and over 40 orders) i have never had a shipment not turn up from them. If they get multiple reports and dont replace the stock a credit card charge back should be pretty easy.

Seems like DVDPacific have got the message about their slow shipment. From their FAQs:
Q: You have two different International Mail shipping carriers. Why is that?
A: In May 2007 USPS raised their mailing rates quite substantially which led us to see if we could not do a better deal for our customers using a different provider. We found Swedish Post to offer some attractive rates and switched all our mailing over to them. Unfortunately although Swedish Post quoted similar transit times to USPS our customers were reporting that this was not the case and most were arriving closer to the latest transit times quoted rather then to the earliest time which was more typical for USPS. This was not acceptable to a large proportion of our customers who were used to the quicker transit times offered by USPS so we bought USPS back on board and now have either option available. European customers in particular wanted us to keep Swedish Post as an option due to transit times for them being somewhere in the middle ground and they found customs not to be as a big an issue for them so were ok with the slightly longer transit times in comparison to USPS.
Now you can choose to have your packages shipped by USPS, for a slightly higher price. To me it is worth the extra cost to have the products I want within a reasonable timeframe. Pity that I've still got about 3 shipments from late Dec through to mid-Jan that have been shipped by Swedish Post. The first has just passed the 25 business days mark.

Feb 4 2009, 05:53 PM
My items were shipped 7th Jan and I received them today (21 working days). They were sent via USPS International Priority Air. Previously the longest I had waited for a shipment was 10 working days, and i live in country NSW
There was something different about today's package though. With previous shipments the cardboard box my items arrived in was sealed with just plain sticky tape, there was no invoice included, the contents has been loosely packed and the sender was always 'D. Pacific' (cant remember the address). It almost looked like it was a personal package from a friend. However the package I received today was sealed with pilfer proof tape, had an invoice enclosed, was tightly packed and the sender was 'Global Fulfillment' from Florida. So I'm wondering if their new packaging system is holding things up in customs or some other area on its way to Oz? Maybe thats why things are taking longer?
Anyways, I think i'll order from Amazon from now on. Even if DVD Pacific ship some items a week before they're released (with my latest order this didnt happen - they shipped a day after release date), with their current shipping times Amazon will be quicker anyway. Last Amazon order I made arrived in 8 working days, via expedited shipping, and that was on Dec 22. Ive never had any troubles with slow shipping with Amazon...touch wood
