why is it with every order of mine with amazon, I get grumpy.

usually what happens is I see they have some items in stock. so place an order. then get a blown out delivery date. I ask why? they come back with some items in my order they either do not actualy have in stock or will take them an eternity to get their hands on.

so I cancel those items and yet it qoutes me an eternity for delivery. so I ask them again..they tell me to delete more stuff from the order...and so it goes on....

does anyone else have this problem ..or is it just me !

getting a bit sick of it ! sad.gif

Yep they're unbelievable Al, recently ordered 2 CD's from there, both shipped same day but 4 hours apart and arrived 4 days apart, Kazz got Nat Treasure 1 and 2 earlier this week, my order dispatched same day, haven't seen it wacko.gif

yep i ordered stuff last night- they clearly stated that the blu ray of "black hawk down" was in Stock

in fact it was , just at one of their remote depots

which delayed the freight of my 5 other movies which were good to go

once i cancelled BHD the other stuff shiped!

same at DVDPACIFIC---"low stock" really means "we'll order it in for you, have a seat , chew some gum"

yes, I have noticed this lately.

really, really poor form.

I went to order some technical books this morning.

All 5 were showing as "In Stock", but the estimated shipping date was 7th July ohmy.gif

When I switched the order to "ship as soon as possible" the order was split into 3 parts, with one of the books not shipping to 28th June, and another on the 7th July.

So what's the point of listing stuff as "In Stock" when it obviously isn't mad.gif ?

I've had it happen a couple of times as well.

If they don't have it in stock then they should say so.

Yep off Amazon at the moment, and BTW Kazz, I emailled Amazon about overcharging me on 3 of the last orders, they are fixing it, haven't seen any cash yet though, but while I remember thanks for the info.

just to balance things up a bit:

ordered national treasure 1 and 2 (BD) on the 26th of May and received 6th of June (with estimated delivery time of 2nd July)
got to me in record time - usually takes 3 weeks at the earliest.

Damm, I'm still waiting for my order, shipped on the 23rd May sad.gif

I ordered 3 Blu-rays a while back and were shipped on May 21...still no sign of them yet though.

It's becoming quite stupid how long Amazon takes. EVERY other store takes generally no more than a week to arrive here from the US and often charge less for shipping than Amazon.

Well guys you can always use the expensive option which uses DHL. You get the disks in a couple of days.

We could...but then again we could go and buy them (most of them anyway) at JB and have them instantly. It's a question of cost. Paying more for shipping negates the benefit of ordering online.

Also, what's the point of Amazon giving us tracking numbers when you can't actually track your order anymore with standard shipping dry.gif

I ordered NT set on 23rd May and still have not received it either sad.gif

I have never had to wait this long for anything from Amazon before...
icebox425
Woohoo. Finally received my order of: NT1&2, V for Vendetta and Remember the Titans today. 23 days after they were "sent". I think what that actually means is they left one amazon warehousing facility on May 21st on their way to an amazon distribution centre where they probably sat for over a week waiting for more Australian orders to mount up.

Amazon seriously have to lift their game.

Oh, so do Auspost...found the box sitting on my doorstep in view of the street when there was a perfectly good pillar right next to the door which it could have been tucked behind. That way only people walking right up to the door would notice it.

Received my Goodfellas blu-ray yesterday - 23rd June, after it was shipped on the 6th.. Estimated was July 14th. So 17 days, can't complain.. now just waiting for my other 2 blu-rays that were shipped on the same day tongue.gif

I had two orders in the system, the one that shipped last has already arrived. No sign of the first one.

Amazon is back in my good books biggrin.gif

Ordered 16 June, Shipped 18 June using cheap post, here today (27 June) ..... ohmy.gif

Thats heaps quicker than ever, (even when I have paid heaps more mad.gif ).

Only the old DHL was quicker and not by much (and considerably more expensive).

Supposed to be here between 17 July and 1 August......

So I guess I'm watching Twister on HDDVD this weekend biggrin.gif

Very Happy!!!!!

My last order was standard delivery, it took 18 days (including weekends)
My issue was with AP, they left the parcel on top of the mailbox.

Mate it happens to all of us. I'd rather them put them in a seperate order under awaiting stock and give you the option to ship the others out early or wait.
AndrewW
Go figure.

Amazon split my latest order into three parts (I chose standard delivery).

The first two parts shipped a week apart ...

And arrived on exactly the same day rolleyes.gif

2 weeks for part 1 and 3 weeks for part 2.

I just had four orders arrive from Amazon this week, the first took 3 weeks the second took 2 weeks the third and fourth which were actually one order which had been split and send a day apart took 8 & 9 days. ohmy.gif

Really pissed with Amazon lately.I ordered 7 bluray which were shipped on 20th may and expected delivery estimate of 27 June, wasn't too concerned with the estimate as they usually arrive way before, however, its now past it due by date and I have emailed Amazon only to get a series of what seems automated responses stating that I should now wait until July 25th and email back if nothing gets delivered by then.

Well after quite a few abusive emails I was finally able to get a refund.Has anyone else encountered any issues like this lately, emphasis on lately,as I am well aware of the conduct in regards to items not received in the past.
I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

I never seem to have an issue (knock on wood).

Latest order shipped 27th June using standard shipping and arrived today. That's 12 days including weekends.

Very happy with that and it seems to be the norm for me. I wonder why it varies so much??!?!
Serpeant
Gamestop seem to have the best international shipping speeds! Everytime I order from them, I receive my order within five working days. The only problem with them is they always send the wrong thing.
