Just a quick bit of feedback on my new Triad in-ceiling speakers.

Link: http://www.triadspeakers.com/products/icg6o.html
I purchased these through Wavetrain accoustics as a solution to my rear speaker array for 7.1...I have dutifully been running them in as instructed by wavetrain by leaving them playing audio from daytime TV while I am at work. I came home tonight and put on some CDs to give the Triads a break from Oprah and Ricky lake laugh.gif

Well at first I was considering playing something that would not offend my ears if these In-ceiling speakers were not up to the HFi challenge, but then remembered Wavetrain spoke about the musical capabilities of the Triad range and figured I take the risk and put on one of my all time favourite tracks (Private Investigations).

Well to say I was impressed is an understatement ohmy.gif These babies absolutely rock! The bass is full and strong and the kick from a snare drum hits you right in the brisket (where it should).

To think that these speakers are simply in place for rear and side channel duties in my HT is clearly underutilising them, they really provide a full and coherant sound stage and are obvious contenders for a front speaker array if floor space for standard speakers is not an option.

Can't wait to get set up for SACD and really use these speakers for all they're worth tongue.gif

If anyone is looking for a a good quality inwall, or in-ceiling option for speakers then 'do yerself a favour' and check out the Wavetrain sale items website (http://www.wavetrain.com.au/sale.html) smile.gif

Cheers,

Curious

Glad you liked them and did the full run in. These are the babies in the range. It only gets better.

Look forward to catching up sometime soon.

This gear is high end and made in the 'good old US of A", I purchased some Gold/6 Omni In-Ceiling speakers to take care of my rear soundfield in my new 7.1 system and I'm very much looking forward to the install (first chance I get to cut some holes in the ceiling )
