What type of connection is the audio out on the plasma - coax, optical, composite?
What type of connection is audio in on the HT?
rareairunc
Both are just composite

Is there an option in the audio setup menu for the plasm to turn the audio out on/off? Otherwise, I'm fresh out of ideas blink.gif

"composite" audio? No such thing. I assume you mean there are analogue outputs. 1 red and 1 white RCA?

Which input on the receiver are you using? I'm thinking maybe you've connected analogue TV outputs to a coax digital input on the receiver...

Any decent TV with a digital tuner should have a optical or coaxial digital output. That is best to use with a receiver since you can get 5.1 surround when broadcast by the station. In that case you don't need to use the analogue outputs from the TV at all.

yeah not too sure if it has optical or coaxial output but i will check. yeh i meant analogue and they are definetly connected to the analogue inputs on the receiver
