Well we know that Panasonic has a 103" plasma.

Then i think Sharp did a 108" LCD.

But i heard it on the grape vine (from a reliable source, ha ha ha), that they are going to be showing at the next Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas, next month a 150" Plasma.

3.5mtrs across and 2mtrs high.


BTW the Panasonic 103" weighs approx 250kg. Uses 1.1kw. Costs in Aus $104,000. MUST have Structural Survey $500-$1000 : MUST have proffesional Install $2000 : MUST put $10,000 down to order...

Maybe they could put one in at Fed Sq. The clowns have a 4:3 tv...

I am more excited about the possible sammy 40" OLED to be shown at CES because it's a massive leap from the sony limited release 11" from earlier this year and it will hopefully show OLED as a viable technology to take on plasma/LCD if not surpass them over the next few years.

I have to admit the thought of a 150" tv seems crazy when i look over at my lousy 50, then i remember how much i paid and the fact that i probably wouldnt have a wall to mount it on because i would have to sell my house to afford that.
