Hi

I get a loud ticking noise when watching, what is usually morning shows on HD WIN TV in Canberra - I'm located in Duffy and the picture is great on all channels, even HD WIN, and the sound works on all other HD channels, but not WIN TV in the mornings. Seems kinda adhoc really.

Anyone had this problem and know the fix?

Thanks muchly

The fix isn't something that we can do. If you watch Win HD sometimes, you will also see some picture problems except on the watermark.

The issue seems to be something with the feed Win are getting from Nine. You will notice the ticking going away when an ad break starts.

Had the same problem in Orange NSW, so must be a Nine->Win thing..fixed it by changing the channel to SC10

Thanks for taking the time to respond folks - I figured it had to be something with the feed not the hardware my end. Cheers

Looks like it's an on-going problem. Tried to watch Two and a Half Men and 'Til Death and both seem to do the same.

Note: 12 minutes past 9PM and suddenly 'Til Death's audio is now OK.

Frustrating when you're trying to watch the new channels and the broadcasters can't get it right.

I called WIN TV here in Canberra yesterday and asked if they knew of any problems. They nice young lady on the phone wasn't aware of any as I seemed to be the first to raise a concern.

She took the details and said she'd pass this on.

Out of curiousity, I rang Channel 9 in Sydney and was put through to their High Def people and encountered a technician who really didn't want to discuss much. He told me he wasn't aware of any problems, if there were problems, the audio was monitored and they'd fix it straight away and he'd just come on so wasn't aware of any problems and didn't seem to want to know about this.

My suggestion is to ring the stations and let them know as soon as you can when there are problems. I doubt Win has someone there at night but you could always call Channel 9 Sydney and see if they can "see"any problems when it's happening.
