Well I finally got around to watching this HD-DVD title tonight, I have had it for a few weeks now but never found the right time to view it. Anyway I am not a person who usually goes in for the hicksville type of movie and that is exactly what you get with this one. However there is something unusually compelling in this movie and I cannot for the life of me put my finger on what it is that kept me riveted to it. Kevin Costner played a reasonable role but it was definitely the kids that stole the show. Kind of reminded my of The Sandlot in some respects but with a greater depth to it.
Video transfer was pretty good with a few film artifacts here and there. Audi transfer was very good and it came with a TrueHD soundtrack as well as a DD5.1+ track.
Probably a good movie to watch with an older child say 10+ so that they can grasp the context of the movie with some guidance from their parent.
