Hi.
I am looking to purchase an Oppo 970 HD dvd player.

Please PM if you have one you're not using anymore and are willing to part with for a reasonable price.

Thanks very much.

You can get new ones in Australia from here: http://www.merlinaudiodesign.com.au/catalo...dvdplayers.html

Or you can buy direct from Oppo for $US212/$AU241 (unit and postage), instead of $315 from the Australian reseller.

Thanks for that info . If i buy an american unit would i need to simply use an adaptor in order to use it on 240v ?

Only a physical adapter (i.e. <$10). Oppo players are full 100-240V

Alternately you could replace the whole cable. On the 970 it's detachable from the unit.

Hey Ozi, I have one which I hardly ever used (probably played a total of 20 discs), and is now surplus to my needs. It's packed in it's original box feeling lonely at the back of my HT.

I'm happy to let it go for about half the current buy price from the US, which I think represents a reasonable bargain. PM me if you're interested.

Just get a Pioneer DV-400/600V, has similar specs.

There is no voltage issue. Can't remember what cables came with it (ordered mine from Oppo), but it takes one of those standard plug-in power leads...you may well have one floating around anyway.

Thanks for the advice , understood .

Cheers,
