ImproBox, EPG_Uploader and ProgressBarKeys.

What would be the best 3 Toppy Taps.
MyStuff auto record shows based on name/channel etc etc, skip keys, etc
MyStuff better epg, one press resume of last show played at last position
& mine (only cause I love pip and couldn't find anything that I was happy with, mainly for pip/ff/fast scanning at the moment)(unreleased)(ugly)

The 3 must have TAPs for me are...
ProgressBarKeys - Adds heaps of extra functionality (some of which should be std in firmware but isn't) including multiple adjustable 'skip' keys
Archive - Heaps better file viewer than the std toppy 'list'
JustEPG - Much better EPG than the std one

PBK, Improbox (& JustEPG)
That combination covers 90% of what's needed to make the Toppy the dream machine. The other 10% is up to individual taste and there's plenty of great supplementary TAPs to choose from.

Totally agree with the previous posters, plus the Display TAP that makes the front panel display a little more useful. Oh, don't forget TED and TEDS for the PC end.

I can only think of 2 must-have TAPs - PBK and EPG-Uploader. Though I'd throw in DirLister if I had to pick 3.
Plus you also need TED/S software (and ToppyTools Suite... of course

)

I run a very similar TAP (can't remember the name, must look it up when I get home).
The main issue, at least with the one I have, is that the "surfing" is very slow using the up/down keys on the remote with the PIP view enabled. Let me know how fast this one works if you install it.

I agree with most others that PBK and Improbox are the first choices. An easy PC or laptop connection would make an EPG TAP of some sort the next choice, but without a handy PC I'd vote for the Display TAP. TimerExtend is also a lifesaver when things go wrong, but for me those first three are brilliant 24/7.

1. PBK
2. JAGS EPG (slightly different to JustEPG)
3. Improbox
.. if I got a fourth it would be
4. OzArchive (looks great) or Time Extender (to fix bad time stamps, ie time being broadcast by stations, which messes up my timers..).
