Fox subpoenas YouTube over illegal TV uploads
Ted
all to help Murdoch's MySpace.

If its not PayTV piracy, currently at an all time low, its gotta be something else.

Is this only over the previously unreleased stuff or are they getting a knott over old episodes as well?

Anyway I thought the copyright laws were to prevent you making a copy.

Id hardly call YouTube quality a copy of the original..although with some of SevensHD its actually an improvement wacko.gif

Thats another thing....DVD Shrink....its not an exact copy is it? Its compressed and has had all the extras removed..so how can you call it a copy? And how does that contravene Copyright Laws ..(I know it does...but should it?)...probably for another thread that one, if Im game biggrin.gif

YouTube has been great for all kinds of different things, but I don't think that the ride will last forever (at least not in the same way). Viacom has sued YouTube as well.

I just loved the way they all waited for Google to buy youtube before they started suing ... as if nobody could see that coming.

Andrew.
TheMike
Right. I knew that Google buying YouTube would only mean trouble, whether or not Google is to blame.
Santa
Google is always to blame.™

It doesnt need to be an exact copy, any copy is illegal as according to the copyright law. You might be shrinking it, but you are still copying it.
