Just took delivery of the Sansui STB-HD01, I'm having problems receiving an image on my plasma from the box. Sometimes it works fine but then when using the remote I press the power button to place it in stand-by mode and when I press the power again to turn it on the display panel (LCD in the front) shows the following:
_ _ _ _
| | (looks like a square)
_ _ _ _
Thus my what the? Manual doesn't mention anything about and there's nothing on the web. The TV doesn't pick up any singal at all. It's conected to the TV via component. Any thoughts??

Hi All
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I also bought this HD STB with the 32" LCD which was on a bundled special last week. The reception and picture was poor. I returned to the large department store chain today to complain and the salesman immediately offered a full refund or swap for any other brand. He also added that they have had alot of returns and would have never sold me that combo. Telling coments I thought. So I am taking him up on his offer and that is why I am here.
Any suggestions on a HD 32" LCD at the sub $3k.

REPLY: Our STB-HD01 has just developed this problem after just over 2 years of reliable service.
Have you found the cure for the problem?

STP-HD01 SANSUI
This unit has been switched of for a long time and now the sets screen shows a triangle dotted that looks like it requires a ste of 3 numbers to turn it on
does anyone know how to get this unit operating ?
