Does this help?

Edit: BTW I know nothing about this topic but it took me 15 seconds to find this. If you need help using search let me know and I'll list how I did it. If it is indeed useful and you have not seen this before.

I have aways used the normal download with no problems. Forced download? Why use it if you don't have to. The name suggests that it's not the best way to go.

The fact that you found it mentioned so quickly - I must have missed it reading all of the pages - leads me to asking you to please list how you found the topic in question.

But having said that - that person said he used Force Download method and that "he pressed the down button" on the box........"down button" on WHICH Box?

Cheers

OK, here goes.

1. I knew there have been lots of discussion about this particular device, so

2. I search all forums for "Toshiba" and selected Topics ONLY, then

3. I viewed the list until I came across the one that had had about 30,000 views and it clearly stated the correct device.

4. I opened this thread, scrolled to the bottom of the screen and searched within the thread on "normal"

5. Voila!! rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Simple in hindsight, but actually not that hard. This is what I would like to see from everyone in the tongue in cheek thread about doing searches. If everyone gave an example of something they were searching for that they found easily, it would not be long before we had a list of comprehnsive hints, tips and suggestions for doing searches.

Edit: Thank you for asking!!

Right then - I have connected all items as stated in the instructions.

However I get no on TV screen display from the STB when I turn everything on. I have gone through all the TV/Video channels on the TV....but no signal or display of the unit. It is connected from SD video out by composite cable....to the TV

Also I do not see anything regarding the STB on the desktop of the computer - as mentioned in the instructions. So basically Point 3 of Normal Download and end of point 2 of Forced download onwards, do not seem to work for me.

Any ideas on this?
