OK, i've decided to go for the 55" Hitachi but now need to decide what the best suited HD-STB for this panel is. Any ideas/thoughts?

I would recommend the Digitalview DVH505 - great box, designed and engineered in Oz and comes with a 3 year warranty. Has DVI on board.

I'd second the Digitalview. Only had it for a month now, but am impressed with it. I'm in a dodgy reception area and it seems to handle it well. No lockups, no dropouts, no worries.

I have the LG 5100P and it drives my 32 in LCD really well. It seems to be a top performer with the other users on this site that have mentioned it. Top picture. No idea of price of digitalview. The LG 5100P fluctuates between $459 to $499. Gives top picture with standard definition input output at 1080i or 720P to my LCD.
