Hi Guys and Gals, Newbi question, I just bought the J35, happy with it so far (have read most of the topics on this forum on it). Anyway, my question is regarding the EPG, mine doesn't really populate very fast and often not at all for some channels. and it definitely doesn't populate out a day or more. I am use to the Foxtel EPG which is fast and tells me what's on tomorrow. is this normal or is it my reception / box etc?

Thanks for your responses.

There is no real EPG transmitted in Aust. All that is provided in now and next information, detailing what is currently being shown and what is on next.

thanks for the quick response, i thought that may be the case but wanted to make sure. Pity, there is some great functionality we are missing out on because the TV stations(?) can't be bothered transmitting an a proper EPG, even if its only a 24 hr one.

Oz networks hate PVRs (understandably) and see no advantage in providing functionality for them. If you want a 7 day EPG you'd need to buy a Topfield SD PVR or a HTPC.

Nope, Topfield provide a user language which has allowed some clever users to be able to upload a free EPG Guide from the net. There is also a pay version provided by www.icetv.com.au.

Have a read of All Questions Answered (PINNED) thread for more info.
