Just grabbed one of these suckers today and performed the auto channel search only to find numerous ABC and SBS channels. It isnt picking up any VHF channels, such as 7, 9 and 10.
Does this mean i have a mediocre, incompatible antenna?

Without knowing your location it is hard to answer. If 7, 9 10 are VHF I would think ABC is also

Also check in your geographical users forum and see Alanh's pinned reception guide.

mootface, may I suggest doing a factory reset (as was advised to me in this thread here). This helped me when I couldn't pick up a few channels. Sure, it may be reception, but it costs nothing to do a reset and if it fixes the problem, you'll save heaps (as in, heaps of money to get someone out to play with your antenna)

Jupiter, you should read the previous responses. He lives in Broome which only has SBS and ABC in Digital.
