I have a new LG 5100P HD STB and Telefunken TLD4001 40" LCD screen
and am having trouble with the DVI connection.

When I connect at 720p it works fine (although occasionally drops) but when set the STB to 1080i it either won't display or comes through like
"venetian blinds".

I am able to connect from the STB to the screen via an RGB cable at 1080i but I would prefer to use the DVI connection as I plan to connect a PC to the screen and do not want to stuff around connecting/disconnecting the RGB cable any time I want to switch.

FWIW, I am using a Maxcable DG9110 DVI-D cable for the connection.

Also, my STB signal strength bounces b/n 70% & 80% at 100% quality.

So, I am not sure whether my problem is the STB, the cable, the screen or something else.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Are you certain that the panel can display 1080i @50Hz via DVI? Maybe it can only display 1080i via component/VGA... sorry not too sure, the website is unclear.

I am 95% sure that it can but I am interstate at the moment so will confirm when I get home and check the specs in the manual tomorrow night

Thanks

According to the specs the panel should be able display 1080i @50Hz via DVI

So I am most interested in any suggestions
Thanks
