Had to take back my LG HD STB cause it was being a poo head LOL. wacko.gif

Some channels didnt work at all and some like HD channels u had to choose them and get NO SIGNAL, then u had to change to another channel , then back to that channel and it would work. Took it back to JB and was told after them selling hundreds of the LG STB this was the first that didnt work properly Woo Hoo huh.gif LOL. Im a trend setter aint i??

So got a New STB on the spot and it works so much better now, all channels work so good. So good it should be illegal. biggrin.gif

This happens to me quite often on my HTPC, mostly to channel 7. Hmmmmm.........maybe I need better tuner cards?

Yes that does happen on Channel 7 for me too on my LG STB.

I dont think its faulty, it usually happens when you change to quick - it needs to pause to catch its breath!

But good on you for getting another one out of them!

Yeah i understand that sometimes it needs to catch up but mine wouldnt put the channel up the first time no matter how long u waited and that even reception was at good. U needed to change channels and then come back and it would then work.

But i got a new one now and it works great.

You're not alone. I have had exactly the same problem with my 5100 where the signal strength is fine but I get "No Signal" and have to switch to another channel first before it works.

I've put up with it for a few weeks since I bought it in January but given your experience, I'll be taking it back to Rick Hart here in Perth and try and get it exchanged.

I wonder if these different units share a common chip as my Samsung HD box does something similar from time to time and puts up a weak signal message even though signal strenth and quality read outs are fine.
Usually have to switch off to fix.
