I have recently brought a samsung HD LCD with all connections, i understand that HDMI is the best connection, the problem is my Hotchip 6000 only has DVI, is it best to buy a HMDI to DVI cable hook it up that way or am i best going DVI to DVI cable. Cheers, Love the TV by the Way LA40R Model.

The TV only has a HDMI input, this is compatible with DVI. If you want a true digital source then the only option is a DVI - HDMI cable or adapter

the TV has both HDMI and DVI. My STB only has DVI.
I think HDMI to DVI might be the best option. CHEERS biggrin.gif

It's not going to make any difference whatsoever (assuming the electronics processing both inputs is equivalent). Use the DVI and save the HDMI for a future purchase which has HDMI output.

Are you sure the TV has DVI, I have the LA32R and it only has HDMI, the manual states you can use this for DVI. The la40r manual says the same and the picture on the samsung site only shows the small HDMI connection. I am sure you will have to buy a DVI - HDMI cable.
