Can anyone please let me know how I can transfer recorded files from my Toshy J-35 to my iMac G4?

I would appreciate every little detail as I'm not too good with computers

Unfortunately, it is impossible to do.

According to Toshiba, the recorded data is protected by 3DES encryption - commonly used in the IT and Telecom industries. Meaning it is impossible to copy or transfer the HD files off the Hard Disk to another.

I've also noticed that once you've physically removed to the HD from the unit (in my case I tried to read it in the PC environment and presumably the encryption prevents you from seeing the file format system) the recorded data that was on it is not accessible anymore.

Your only option is to transfer / copy from the composite output - which in my PQ standards is a waste of time..
