My next door neighbour who just recently bought the latest SD Samsung Plasma and HD Samsung STB asked me to hook it all up for them.

I was surprised that the Samsung Plasma did not have any DVI or HDMI inputs and only 1 AV input as well! Anywhow, to get the best possible picture I though from the Set top box, I would connect via RGB which I understand is just the same cable as a VGA computer monitor.

After hooking it all up, the plasma just would not recognise any connection via RGB. I did the STB at first switched to 567i which I read in the book it will not work. After switching it to 576p or 1080i etc.... there was still no signal going to the plasma.

I've never worked with an RGB connection from a STB. I used DVI to HDMI. Does anyone know why this may not be working?

Also, the book is not clear on what I use for audio inputs when using RGB either. The only audio input on the plasma is with the Component inputs so not sure if it will work with them.
