Hi.

I recently got a Panasonic 500a 42" plasma and a LG HD STB.

My parents and I share the signal from one antenna. I live in the shed out back.

When I'm watching digital TV and they turn there STB up in the house, my audio drops out for about a second, every thirty seconds or so. Or everytime they change a channel it drops out consistently.

Years ago we had an antenna installed for regular television reception, and my signal quality on the STB shows full strength.

I live in Kilsyth, Melbourne, Victoria.

Is there a common reason for these dropouts? Is there a special type of antenna or cables or connectors needed to split a digital signal? Or will I have to get my own seperate antenna?

Regards,
Pritch.

Problems like this are generally introduced due to antenna or cabling problems, good quality RG6 cable and good fittings can often sort this out, a good place to start anyway.

I'm going to get Mr Antenna to come out. Hopefully they have an idea what it is.
