Hi Guys,

Is there a TAP that exists which allows a "frame overview" for a particular recording. By frame overview, I refer to the ability to see thumbnails of a recording at a configurable period eg. every 3 minutes which can be then selected to move directly to that period in time. the interface would look similar to the scene selection screens on DVDs. Perhaps either 4 or 6 thumbprints per screen.

The standard Topfield firmware has this ability in a way - but ONLY when timeshifting LIVE TV. This is because the firmware takes a snapshot of the screen every few minutes (while playing) and saves the thumbnail in a seperate file. Its not done for general recordings because keeping thumbnails and REC files (that are often trimmed etc.) get too convoluted. When the timeshift buffer is emptied then the thumnails are

No ones yet come up with a TAP to emulate this ability because of this complexity. That and the fact that I don't think the thumnail can be generated unless its currently showing on screen (ie you can't look through the REC file and pull out a picture)

Not that I've heard of .. but the Progress Bar Keys does a great job of moving faster by pressing the <- and -> keys ....
