Box Office channels use Macrovision copy protection to stop you recording them.

Thanks anyway around it??

Of course, but you need an external device between your Foxtel box and your DVD recorder, sometimes these are reffered to as Video Stabilisers, check Jaycar or similar for details.

An earlier post indicated that using 'RGB out' from the Foxtel box, and 'RGB in' to your recorder overcame the macrovision problem. I have yet to try it.

Good luck.

Nope, not with Box Office. That's how I have my Foxtel connected and I have the same issue with recording Box Office.

How do you connect up the "Foxtel - RGB - DVD Recorder - Component - TV" with a video enhancer and stabliser?

I have seen some that have composite and svideo but I wish to use a higher quality signal. If possible a model number would be helpful.

Hi
What brand of stabiliser did you purchase and has it fixed all films?
Thanks
