It has been a while since it has been announced that Imparja TV is expanding to Darwin, has it been given the go ahead?

If so has a start date been announced yet? Is it true that we may not be able to see Imparja National News on Imparja TV but instead Ten news from Brisbane?

Is it likely to be a digital only relay Ten Network station?

Will it have Imparja branding or Network TEN branding? Do Imparja actually broadcast digital anywhere in Australia yet?

It was still be called Imparja etc, but will be majority of the Network TEN feed (apart from local prgramming) and yes, Ten News from Brisbane on weekdays. Imarja News to my knowledge has been buried. Saying this, nothing has been formally announced, and is always subject to change. Because there are 2 main time zones used, there may be a shuffle with programming as they do now with Ten News.

Imparja do not transmit in digital to any of its regions at this time.

Does 7 Darwin currently transmit any Network TEN programs, or do they only broadcast channel 7 programs?

It is not called 7 Darwin anymore. It is SCTV (Southern Cross TV) Darwin, and it does show certain 10 Network programs such as AFL, but does not show Neighbours, Bold and Beautful and so on, the majority of the programs are still Seven Network programs.

Programs such as Seven News Brisbane, Today Tonight and Blue Heelers are still shown.

It is my understanding that this mixture is likely to continue in the same manner as now til Imparja makes it debut as Darwin's 3rd commerical TV station as a full Ten relay station. It have yet to be announced when it is due to debut in Darwin.

Actually, SCTV does broadcast Neighbours & The Bold and the Beautiful now...

And there has been NO official announcement that Imparja will broadcast into Darwin, only speculation. Correct AEON, to my knowledge they now relay pretty much what Southern Cross Tasmania broadcast.

So the change from Seven only programs to Seven/Ten programs was only recent then?

I remember I took a look at the Darwin TV Guide a couple of weeks ago and they had pretty much the same TV guide as Southern Cross Tasmania. So you get all the same promos as we do? e.g. the "I think I love you song" with a Southern Cross logo and Desperate Housewives/Lost/Sunrise people etc...

I even notice you get all the Big Brother and stuff (bummer) and you are at the same point in Home and Away as Tasmania (a week or 2 behind the other mainland stations)

Is there Now and Next on SCTV Darwin yet?

Now and Next information is only available on ABC at the moment...

So there is no NaN on SBS or Nine . I thought SBS provided NaN to everywhere it was broadcasting digital TV in.

It's weird that stations owned by Metro stations such as Nine Darwin, and Seven QLD don't provide NaN, yet they provide the same NaN in major capital cities.

??? Imparja is ineligable to bid for the new Darwin licence. The only way it could get it would be by doing a deal with either (or both) PBL and/or SCB.
