Trying to decide between the fujitsu P42HHA40WS and Pioneer PDP-435D HD Panels (Both 42"). In Perth I can get both for around $6000. Both seem like nice panels however the Pioneer has a seperate box for conecting components and the Fujitsu would have components plugged directly into panel. Is the AVM2 chip in the Fujitsu better than what the Pioneer has to offer ? Was also told the NEC XM3W is a better panel - Confused !
Opinions and advice appreciated ??

(here)My personal view (based on Component setup) was that the NEC was as good as the Fujitsu 42. I found the black gloss bezel of the Pioneer very distracting. (Original post

The Fujitsu 50" was significantly better than the 42 Fujtsu, and the blacks on the 50" were significantly better than the NEC 50 or 42. (remember the 42 Fujitsu is an Alis 1024*1024 panel ? hitachi glass?? and the Fujitsu 50" is a panasonic glass)
Overall - from a cost/quality point of view the NEC 42 HD panel at $4500-4700 is a very good buy (3 year warranty, stand or wall mount, good quality screen, DVI is HDMI compatible).
You really need to see the screens yourself side by side if you can to come to your own opinion. Different people will come to quite different decisions on these panels.
