First of all, I'd like to say that it is great to be a part of this forum - there is a valuable knowledge base here from some real experts/enthusiasts on board. Glad to be in the thick of it...

I'm hanging for my first plasma - I almost ordered a Viera yesterday, as I sense there are upgraded models coming (I then got the shivers over the 8K - especially if the wife ever found out the pricetag!).

One screen I hear very little about is JVC, who have a new range (this year) of HD 42 and 50 models. I was wondering if anyone had or knew of any feedback (good bad or indifferent) regarding these.

Also, would I be right in believing that Pioneer represents the "cream of the crop" in both viewing quality and warranty backup and service? Thanks.
