This is my first post so I apologise if my problem has already been dealt with by another thread.

I recently installed the firmware upgrade (2004Dec06) on my Toppy 5000PVRt. Seems to have added a couple of nice features but when I now pull up the channel list (using the centre "OK" key on the remote) I no longer have the ability to switch between tuners (there is now just a vertical scroll bar where previously either "T1" or "T2" was noted next to the channel). This means when I'm recording two programs at once I can't switch between the two and rewind the progress bar for viewing the active recordings.

Hope that makes sense,

Is this a normal situation or have I mucked up a setting somewhere that is unrelated to the firmware upgrade? Is it possible to undo a firmware upgrade?

thanks,

George

Hi George

You should still be able to switch between your two current recordings just by using Channel up/down, or by pressing the OK button and selecting the channel you're recording as usual - although you are correct that this firmware removes the 'tuner 1/2' concept (or at least hides it in the background).

You might want to check out the Topfield Australia forums for some other tips.

That site also has the previous (April 04) firmware should you decide to go back. But I think if you aks questions in the forum there you might want to stick with it or even move ahead as there has been other firmware updates since then.

Hi George,

Not sure if you're checking back here but if you are... In your situation I always mention that its generally a good idea to know what software does before you install it on a machine. smile.gif That said, check out the All Questions Answered thread that is PINNED here or do a search on that "answered" in the Toppy Forum.

Should give you a good starting point.
