ohmy.gif Just did a net search & discovered
http://www.blankdvdsupermarket.com.au/index.php

Their 8X blanks are $23 for a spindle of 50. This is approaching the low USA prices - my son there buys them for 10c each!!!

Anyone dealt with this place or have other comments/ recommendations?

TIA

I've been buying Ritek DVDR for that price from Umart and have never had a problem. Every single one does a great job.

I've been getting my printable Princo grade-A DVD-Rs from www.msy.com.au for $17 for 50 ... they're the only ones I use as I've never had one fail and plays on all my DVD players.

biggrin.gif Just ordered DVD-Rs from these guys

4 spindles of 50 cost $92 + $12 for freight.

I did a good net search and this place is by far the cheapest to deal with.

Payment was by net transfer to their account.

smile.gif Yes I'm getting those ritek/ridata DVD-Rs.

Thanks for the link bobster. I checked them out and although the DVD-Rs are a little cheaper, the postage was $18 so they ended up slighly dearer for me than the other mob. Nice to have a choice though.

Some other sites were a LOT more expensive so it pays to shop around - a lot easier on a computer these days :-)

If you're looking for finding out the quality of DVD blanks, check out

http://forums.cdfreaks.com/
and more specifically http://kprobe.cdfreaks.com

The only problem is that I think this is Lite-On only software, but the users do say what media is good/bad.

It's an objective way of finding out whether the media you buy is good or bad.
