Hi,
Newbie here. Have got good reception with analog. Set up everything and get no signal. Take it back to the shop. They set up my box and presto. It works and tunes in.I point to the same transmitter. Take it home. Change cables and still no signal. Any ides??. Read something about modulators. Should I start there or is it something more simple.
So much for plug n play. mad.gif

Look through the forum for threads about aerials. You may have an older aerial that can't pick up the digital signals.

I had no problems tuning in, just an array of other issues....however, when the guy at JB HiFi tried to tune it in when i returned it, he was unable to do so....go figure!

Awaiting aerial specialist to assess my signal strength before I replace my downlead cabling to quad sheilded coax. Hopefully, then I will be able to contribute to more details on the Box itself.

Aerial guy came and $65 later ,I find ,by him using a different STB on my wall plug he tunes in all channels without a hitch. I have average to low signal. I then take my STB back and get another TEAC. I Bring it home and it works perfectly. Enjoying getting to know it at the moment. I figure it may of had a faulty tuner but no one knows for sure as my original one tuned in at the shop.
<<<< CAUTION TO NEW BUYERS >>>> if you know someone with a STB. Ask them to try it at your place. The TV specialists can be sharks and do you in for a new aerial that claims to be better for digital. One company tried to do this.
