I don't have a Digibox, but SVideo to Component (or RGB for that matter) won't provide a 'huge' increase in picture quality. Many people can't really notice it, or if they do notice a difference will find themselves prefering the SVideo feed.

If you are simply using a device to convert S-video to component (or RGB), you won't be gaining anything in terms of image quality (unless the converter is right at the source, and you're talking about long cable lengths and/or noisy env.)
OTOH, if the display device performs better or has better functionality on component/RGB, then this may be a reason to use such a device.

Which DigiCrystal are you referring to? If it is the 8800 or the 9000, then they do not have component outputs. They do have RGB that would give the best result if your TV can accept RGB (ie is a European style top end model with SCART inputs).
The results with S-video are very good on a good quality TV.

I am talking about purchasing a SCART to component cable ( i have the PVR - 9000 i think). My samsung plasma has a much better component picture then s video
